The Magician Card
1 Mar 2013
The card numbered 1 in the Major Arcana deck of Tarot cards is The Magician, sometimes called The Magus or The Juggler. In the traditional set of tarot cards (Rider-Waite) The Magician points to the sky with one hand and the earth with the other; the 3 objects in front of him and one that he is holding represent the elements of the Tarot suits – Cups, Coins, Swords (as knives) and Clubs (baton in his hand).
Obviously the meaning of the card is unique to the querent and where it appears in the spread but broadly speaking when it appears it is because changes need to be made – it is time for action. The message is to tap into your potential, make quality decisions and good use of your talents and resources.
In the event that the card is reversed; the querent should take a good look at themselves and ensure no ego is present in their decisions. They should also be mindful of a manipulator – they could be a good or bad influence but may not have your best interests at heart!
